2LXCID

2LXCID is a brand new independent artist who writes and performs original rap songs inspired by mainstream artists. A fresh face to the industry with youth on his side, I was curious to get the perspective of the next generation songwriter, who hopes to spread his message of inspiration to others.

How long did it take you to write, record and release your song?

"To write, record and release my song it took me about an hour writing the lyrics and a good 20 minutes to record. Mastering the song and releasing it on the other hand took a few weeks."

Who has had the biggest influence on you and your music?

"The person who had the biggest influence on me at this time was local artist 'essay9ine' who I had been closely working with as we are from the same area, also working with producer 'Krukss' based in Llanelli."

What other artists do you like?

"An artist I like is the underground artist 'TENEBRXUS' all the way from the USA who featured on the song 'heart aching'."

What made you want to write your own music as opposed to covering someone else's song?

"Making my own music instead of doing cover songs was the only choice in mind, as I can put down my thoughts and feelings and express them in any way I want."

"I’m working on a lot more songs at the moment with my producer 'Krukss' and catch my newest music on the upcoming collaborative album 'mercury retrograde' with 'Krukss' and artist '1ND1GO' dropping on the 22nd of February."
